Mendenhall Glacier
Copyright Barbara Samuelson 1997
The Mendenhall glacier at Juneau, Alaska. It was a very rainy/foggy
day, but we did manage to see several eagles including some juveniles,
a heron, many magpies, many crows, and lots of salmon. The Mendenhall
glacier is receding at a fast pace, geologically; just another sign of
global warming.
