Male Northern Shoveler

Northern Shoveler (Anas clypeata) belongs to the Dabbling Ducks that feed by tipping tail-up to reach aquatic plants, snails and seeds. They can take off by springing directly into flight. They are locally common on bays, marshes and ponds.
